We, the faculty and staff, in conjunction with our Russell families, are eager to work with each student to help them reach their full potential. We are committed to providing a safe, challenging, and nurturing educational environment for all children to ensure that every student is inspired and prepared to be a passionate, lifelong learner. Through our robust character education program, we strive to develop our students to grow socially and emotionally and have them make a positive contribution to the local and global community.

"In memory of Mrs. Lois Bortle, beloved MNSD PE teacher and Russell staple for many years, her family graciously donated a check to the PTO to be used in conjunction with the Lois Bortle award given to a 5th grade student every year. I want to thank George Bortle (husband to Lois) and her children, Doug and Courtney Bortle for the generous and thoughtful gift in Lois's memory. "
